A woman died and two others are currently in the hospital for injuries after being involved in a San Antonio car accident last Saturday night. A wrong-way driver caused the accident, which occurred on Saturday midnight along the intersection of W. Military Drive and Chinook, near SeaWorld.

According to authorities, a car was moving against traffic on W. Military Drive, eventually crashing head-on into an oncoming automobile. Lisa Sims, 50 years of age, and the driver of the car she was in (an unnamed male) were immediately transported to University Hospital. Sims sadly succumbed to severe injuries, while have yet to disclose the condition of the male driver.

Authorities say the wrong-way driver was under the influence at the time of the accident, and could thus face two counts of intoxication assault. If the driver of the car also passes away, that charge could be raised to intoxication manslaughter. The driver in question is currently in stable condition as the investigation of the accident continues.
