Statistics Show Auto Accidents On Rise in Texas

Recently a fatal car accident was responsible for the accidental death of a motorist on Texas 237 near Round Top Texas. According to news outlets, a late model Ford pickup truck was traveling south on Texas 237 when it lost control, swerving into oncoming traffic, afterwhich it collided in a head-on accident with a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. After being struck, the Toyota rolled over, killing the 59-year-old driver. Texas Motor Vehicle Accident Statistics According to recent auto accident statistics, automobile accidents are on the rise in Texas, and throughout the United States:

  • The NTSA reported that 33,561 people were involved in fatal car accidents in 2013.
  • More than 2 million people in the U.S. were injured in automobile accidents in 2013.
  • Of those inured, more than 90,000 sustained “serious injuries” from car accidents.
