A man was killed in a motorcycle accident in north Houston. According to Lt. Larry Crowson of the Houston PD, officers were called to report to the scene of the accident on Parker Road on Sunday evening. Although initial witness reports said that two motorcyclists were street racing in the area before the crash, police later learned the accident happened after a motorcycle rider tried to pass two cars and ended up crossing the centerline of the road and crashing head-on into a car heading in the opposite direction.

The impact of the collision threw the rider from the motorcycle, which caught fire due to damage. The driver of the car did not sustain injuries. Police officials have yet to reveal the identity of the rider to the public, and are still investigating the exact circumstances leading to the crash.
