A San Antonio teenager died in a single vehicle accident in he Stone Oak area of San Antonio in the early morning hours of Saturday June 1, 2014. It’s been reported that the teenage driver, age 19, appeared to be driving at a high rate of speed, and was apparently under the influence of alcohol. Police also reported a strong odor of marijuana, and found a plastic container of marijuana in the passenger seat of vehicle.
The teen was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban southbound on Heights Boulevard at around 2:30 am, when the driver abruptly turned into a curb, crashing through a street light before his SUV violently slammed into the pillar of a brick wall.
The driver, the sole passenger in the vehicle, was taken to University Hospital, where he died nearly 24 hours later.
